PRU 13 : A WAR FLAG!

In spirit with upcoming PRU 13, various political parties take the chance to raise their party’s flags. This phenomenon shows that the citizens are aware of the forthcoming national event.

Varied political parties’ flags were displayed in many styles and places. Vehicle. Building. Light poles. Roof. Fence. Signboard. Along the road divider. As far as eyes can see, there are always political parties flags hang in everywhere. In certain place, it looks like a war flag.

HOWEVER, the influx flags had been inviting discomfort to the residents and road users. Generally, the function of raising the flags is to increase the spirit of particular parties and campaign. Therefore, many people have hanged it up based on their creative ways to get people attention. And ‘this creative ways’ has created problems to others.

Noticeably, too many unorganized flags pollute the view. The flags have limiting the view of the road, which in turn can cause accidents. Several people desperately put the flags on signboard and close the information displayed.

For local people, it’s not a big deal as they are familiar with the particular areas. BUT, for outsiders it’s a BIG trouble if they are depending on signboard to reach their destination.

Raising our own party’s flags is not an offense. HOWEVER, the compatibility of the place should be taking into account to prevent further problems.

TNB, in several medium has prohibit public from hanging any flags on electric poles for their safety. see the news

---->> I wonder:  WHY Malaysia's flags during Independent Day is always far little compared during PRU. In fact, being patriotic to the nation is far more important compared to the political party....
